Goons Tackle Senator—New Take on “Giving the Gentleman the Floor”
In a jaw-dropping display of federal hospitality, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s security detail dragged Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) out of a Los Angeles press conference, forced him to the ground, and slapped on the cuffs.
Book ’im, Dano: He threatened the Cabinet officer by attempting to ask a question.
(Mugshot: This is the guy who oversees immigration enforcement as the ranking Dem on the Senate subcommittee for immigration/citizenship/border safety.)
He was even playing nice in the press conference — identified himself loud and clear — but Noem’s team claimed they had no idea who he was (even though they’ve chatted in front of God and everybody in Senate hearings).
Trump’s Homeland Security gang accused the Senator of “lunging” at the secretary. Video truth: no lunging! Witnesses confirm: no lunging!
Breaking news from another Senator, Patty Murray (D-WA): “This is a lie.”
(Besides: Who lunges in L.A.? — unless there’s a red-carpet VIP ticket giveaway?)
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggested Padilla should be censured for his “wildly inappropriate” behavior.
Because nothing says decorum like zip-tying a sitting Senator in front of reporters!
